Brick by brick, Hong Kong builds a happy summer: Travel Weekly Asia

LEGO Hong Kong is shaking up the summer holiday routine with a citywide activation led by its cheerful minifigure mascot, Lok Jai. From now till 31 August 2025, the “Let’s Take a Brick” campaign turns eight locations into “Fun Spots” for play, creativity, and a bit of AR-powered treasure hunting.

Each site invites visitors to scan a QR code, complete mini-games, and collect Lok Jai cards. Those who gather at least two can redeem a Build-A-Mini figure at LEGO Certified Stores or the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui.

The first stop is Dino Park at New Town Plaza, where a 5-metre LEGO treehouse, brick-made soundscape, and a giant Lok Jai photo opp await. Over in West Kowloon Cultural District, Lok Jai goes full local: painting at the Palace Museum lawn, chilling at sunset on Harbourside Lawn West, and picnicking at Art Park.

The fun extends to LEGO stores too. Lok Jai cools off with ice cream in Times Square, gets sporty at Langham Place, and hits the beach at K11 Musea.

Fancy perks? Collect all four West Kowloon cards to unlock discounts of up to 50% at over 25 F&B and retail outlets – from free desserts to discounted tea and flower arrangements.
