In am announcement poster on Tuesday, February 4, K-pop star Jisoo of popular girl group Blackpink shared to her fans the Asian cities that she will be visiting as part of her upcoming tour.
Titled ‘Love, Lights, Action,’ she has included Manila in the list of destinations where the tour will take place.
Although, as of writing, no additional details were provided regarding the show.
Aside from the Philippines, Jisoo’s tour will also be in Bangkok, Tokyo, Nacau, Taipei, Hong Kong, and Hanoi.
This announcement comes days ahead of her solo music comeback with ‘Amortage’ on February 14.
Jisoo debuted in 2016 as part of the third-generation K-pop group Blackpink, along with fellow members Jennie, Lisa, and Rosé.
They became well-known in their home country and abroad, thanks to their successive hit songs ‘Whistle,’ ‘Boombayah,’ ‘Playing with Fire,’ ‘As If It’s Your Last,’ ‘Ddu-du Ddu-du,’ ‘Kill This Love,’ ‘Lovesick Girls,’ ‘Pink Venom,’ and ‘Shut Down,’ among many others.
In 2023, she dropped the single album titled ‘Me,’ which featured the viral hit song ‘Flower.’
The following year, in 2024, she established her own label named Blissoo.
Moreover, Blackpink is also reportedly gearing up for their first full-group comeback in almost three years, which could happen in May according to Korean media reports.
Aside from music, she also has an active career in acting, having starred as Eun Young Ro in ‘Snowdrop’ in 2021 and will soon be seen in the Prime Video series ‘Newtopia’ that will premiere on February 7.
