Bill Gates and Paula Hurd are spending some quality time together on his book tour.
As Gates wrapped up promotion for his new memoir, Source Code, on Tuesday, Feb. 11, he enjoyed a sweet moment with his girlfriend.
In an image exclusively shared with PEOPLE, the Microsoft co-founder, 69, smiles while cuddling up with Hurd outside the Curran Theatre in San Francisco.
That night, Gates took part in a live conversation about his book that was moderated by Dax Shepard and attended by about 1,700 guests, including Hurd, who has been by Gates’ side at a number of events this month.
Their conversation was also recorded for an episode of the actor’s Armchair Expert podcast, although an air date has yet to be announced.

In a post on his Instagram Stories, Shepard called Gates one of his “favorite armchair experts” and also shared a behind-the-scenes snap of the pair.
He continued to pack on the praise, writing in s separate post that he “will continue to cherish every single moment I get to spend with a man who has saved tens of millions of children around the world.”
In another post, Gates thanked Shepard for helping him “close out an incredible book tour” and take a “great ‘trip’ down memory lane.”

In his memoir, the first of a planned trilogy, Gates tells the story of early years, from childhood to co-founding the company that eventually made him a billionaire.
Ahead of the memoir’s release, the philanthropist told PEOPLE that splitting his book into three parts seemed like the best way to tell his story after his first drafts had parts that were “way too detailed” and others that weren’t “detailed enough.”
Gates’ girlfriend also got a Source Code shoutout, with Gates thanking Hurd for being one of the “early readers of the manuscript.”
