LONDON — The BFC Fashion Trust will be recognized with a special award at the 2025 Fashion Awards, which will be handed out on Dec. 1 at the Royal Albert Hall.

Tania Fares, Fashion Trust Arabia co-chair and co-chair of the BFC Foundation Fundraising Committee, will be collecting the award, which recognizes the “philanthropists and cultural advocates” who have contributed to the BFC Fashion Trust’s charitable programs over the last 15 years.

The program has raised 6.8 million pounds to nurture and champion emerging designers.

“Growing up in Paris, I was surrounded by creativity, it was part of my everyday life. Later, when I had my own brand, I experienced firsthand just how tough the industry can be. That experience stayed with me and inspired me to do everything I can to support emerging designers,” Fares said. “Supporting talent and helping build a more inclusive, global fashion community has been one of the great privileges of my life.”

Laura Weir, chief executive officer of the British Fashion Council, added that the work of the BFC Foundation is “central to our mission of nurturing and mentoring the next generation of talent. We are deeply grateful to all the supporters who helped to establish the BFC Fashion Trust. Celebrating 15 years of its impact is a significant milestone, reflecting a remarkable legacy made possible by the generosity and commitment of our BFC Foundation Patrons.”

At the 2025 Fashion Awards, homegrown talents Jonathan Anderson and Martine Rose will be competing against Miuccia Prada, Glenn Martens, Rick Owens and Willy Chavarria for the top honor of Designer of the Year.

They were nominated by a voting panel comprising 19 individuals in media and retail.
