It only took a few months of social media promotion for her to quit her full-time job and dedicate her efforts to developing healthy meals for her clients on their fitness journey, she said.
“You can tell them how much they need to eat healthy and give them the recipes, but until they actually do it, it’s just not going to happen,” Pierce said. “That’s when Bee Fit Foods came about. … I realized that I have to take the foods that people like and just figure out how to make them healthy.”
On the menu
Customers can purchase one meal at a time, or get every meal of the day if they require more structure, Pierce said.
“If you already know what it takes for you to reach [your] goals, you can come in and customize your meal plan the way you want it to be,” she said. “If you need a little more guidance on where to start, we have that as well.”
Customers can choose between nearly 30 meal options, including sweet potato skillets for breakfast, turkey chili for lunch, and jerk chicken with caramelized cabbage for dinner.
In 2025, Pierce said she will also integrate protein boxes for her customers who don’t have access to a microwave during the day, but want to stay on track with healthy meal options.
Put in perspective
Piece said a healthy lifestyle and clean eating go hand-in-hand. The key to switching out unhealthy foods to meals that will contribute to her customer’s health goals is replacing sugars and salts with “good herbs and spices,” and knowing what mixes well together to create good tasting meals, she said.
Another barrier to clean eating is a lack of routine in one’s day, she said, which Bee Fit Foods helps provide.
“We have so much on our plate, and sometimes we’re just tired,” Pierce said. “So when we get home we just want to crash. Then we’re waking up to repeat that cycle instead of following a structured plan of what we’re going to knock out that day. If we have all of these things in place for preparation—the meals we’re already going to eat, what time we’re going to eat them, … it makes it a lot easier for success.”
