On Saturday, Oct. 25, people piled into First Methodist Church for the Beauty and the Beast luncheon and fashion show.
In total, the Beauty and the Beast Fund raised over $7,000, aiding their financial assistance to men and women in Jackson County going through chemotherapy or radiation for breast cancer.
During a brief speech, Ann Looney referred to going through breast cancer as a sisterhood, thanking all those in attendance and the multiple businesses for being sponsors for this event.
After blessing the food and giving people time to eat, they started the fashion show, where women walked out in outfits from local stores, showcasing many of the good fashionable finds in Jackson County.
