La Liga giants Barcelona have altered their stance on the future of a member of the club’s defensive ranks.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Héctor Fort as the player in question.
The name of full-back Fort has emerged as a prominent one in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital over the last 24 hours.
This comes after the 18-year-old was left on the bench for the entirety of Barcelona’s pre-season opener against Vissel Kobe.
As much has given rise to questions surrounding Fort’s immediate Blaugrana future, with the Spaniard, initially, having been tipped for a potential loan departure for the season ahead.
If the latest word stemming from the media on Monday is anything to go by, though, then it is not out of the question that Fort could be allowed to move on on a permanent basis.
As per a report from Sport:
‘Although Barça’s initial idea was that he would continue in the team, the club’s plans have changed slightly. The intention is to try to transfer the player from Les Corts to obtain economic gain.’
