According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona remain interested in signing Mallorca’s young forward Marc Domenech, whose name came up once again during recent talks between the two clubs regarding Pablo Torre’s transfer.

However, Mallorca held firm at the time, demanding €1 million. Since then, Domenech’s stock has continued to rise, and his release clause now stands at €4 million.

If he is officially promoted to the first team, his clause will increase further to €10 million.

Barcelona scouts and coaching staff have been closely monitoring Domenech’s development and are said to be very impressed by his qualities.

Known for his power, movement, technical ability, and close ball control, the Mallorca youngster has received glowing internal reports. Barcelona view him as a player who embodies the kind of football the club is known for.

With Barça Atletic aiming to reinforce their attack this summer, Domenech has emerged as a prime candidate to bolster the squad.

One important detail in this potential transfer is the involvement of super-agent Pini Zahavi. Zahavi, who also represents Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick and striker Robert Lewandowski, maintains a strong relationship with club president Joan Laporta.

His presence could help smooth negotiations, especially if Barcelona move quickly to activate Domenech’s current €4 million release clause before it increases.

Domenech signed a massive five-year deal with Mallorca in the summer of 2024, structured to reward his rise into the first team.

But with Barça circling once again, the forward may have a tough decision to make: continue developing in Mallorca or take a major step forward by joining the Blaugrana project.
