HONG KONG, CHINA. Fast-growing coffee brand Bacha Coffee has extended its travel retail footprint with its latest location at Hong Kong International Airport.
Located in Terminal 1 East Hall, the Moroccan coffee brand’s new boutique spans 41sq m, complete with a takeaway corner.
The store, opened in December, features the brand’s signature coffee varieties and a selection of gifting options, providing passengers with the opportunity to immerse themselves in an exclusive coffee experience.
V3 Gourmet President & CEO Taha Bouqdib said: “As the world reopens, part of our expansion strategy shifts towards enhancing the travel retail component of Bacha Coffee’s customer touchpoints globally.
“This dovetails the brand’s holistic customer journey which seamlessly flows between brick-and-mortar and online experiences – an ecosystem which includes retail boutiques, dine-in coffee rooms, takeaway concepts and ecommerce.
“Our new Hong Kong International Airport location offers the added opportunity for customers to make purchases or enjoy a takeaway while waiting for their flight, offering that uplifting moment of transition to every traveller’s day whenever and wherever they search for us.”
Established in 1910 in Marrakech, Bacha Coffee’s heritage is showcased through the boutique’s black-and-white chequered marble, saffron-stained porticos and colourful zellige mosaics.
Visitors can browse ochre-hued canisters that line the walls, each filled with 100% Arabica that offers rich aromas for guests to savour.
Categorised as single-origin, fine-blended, fine-flavoured and naturally CO2 decaffeinated coffees, Bacha Coffee offers a curated collection of more than 200 coffees from 35 renowned producing countries around the world.
Elegantly packaged, the single-serve Coffee Bag Gift Boxes reflect the coffee maison’s essence, while loose beans, sold by weight, are ground to order by in-house Coffee Masters to suit customers’ preferred brewing method.
Travellers can select from Bacha Coffee’s hampers or design their own using the bespoke service.
Guests can also enjoy the Bacha Coffee takeaway experience, where the full suite of over 200 coffees is prepared either hot or iced and served with vanilla bean-flecked Chantilly Cream and a raw sugar stick.
The boutique-like setting offers an assortment of sweet and savoury croissants in addition to other handmade pastries. ✈
