1. Go Out Fest @ Go Park Sai Sha
Japan’s Go Out Jamboree concept is coming to Hong Kong for the first time. Outdoor enthusiasts from around the globe gather at the base of Mount Fuji for the event by Go Out, a popular Japanese outdoor magazine. Now, that same experience is here at Go Park Sai Sha. Nature lovers can enjoy the great outdoors along with weekend market, art exhibitions, community activities, and more. There is also a chance to relax at a cosy cabin, take great photos, and browse products from 20 popular vendors.

2. Hong Kong Arts Festival
The annual Hong Kong Arts Festival champions leading artists in performing arts such as opera, music, dance, theatre, and Chinese opera for its 53rd edition. There are more than 125 performances and over 300 programmes and events to choose from. Among the highlights this year include a production of Bizet’s Carmen, Czech National Ballet’s La Sylphide, theatrical work TIME by Ryuichi Sakamoto and Shiro Takatani, and ballet gala Nureyev & Friends.

3. TOT ICONS and Tropical Nights at The Daily Tot
To celebrate International Women’s Day, Singular Concepts spotlights remarkable women from Malaysia, Thailand, and India. On March 1, the leading rum cocktail bar The Daily Tot, is launching a special edition menu ‘TOT ICONS’ for the month. It will feature signature cocktails by Minakshi from Sidecar, Amanda from Three X Co, and Chanel from Bamboo Bar. Each of them showcases their favourite drinks throughout the month. The festivities continue with The Daily Tot’s tropical nights complete with exquisite cocktails and sounds of pop, soul, and funk. There will be performances from Karabelle on March 5 and 19.

4. Hong Kong International Literary Festival
Hong Kong bibliophiles are in for a treat this March as the city’s largest literary festival makes its return. The Hong Kong International Literary Festival brings emerging and established writers to the city to share their love of reading and storytelling. This year’s edition features literary lunches, workshops, family events, and International Women’s Day spotlights. Literary powerhouse Bernardine Evaristo, the first Black woman and Black British person to win the Booker Prize, is making an appearance. Also gracing the event is Asako Yuzki, the author of the international bestseller Butter. Don’t miss the discussion between comedian Jennifer Wong and chef ArChan Chan of Ho Lee Fook about food and family.

5. Colour & Music Fest
Hong Kong is set to have its first Colour & Music Fest this month, an extravagant celebration of the Indian festival Holi and International Women’s Day. Gear up for a fun day at Whitehead Barbecue in Ma On Shan for non-stop DJ music, dancing, sea views, and lots of colours. Jive to EDM, afro beats, and Bollywood tunes all while enjoying splashes of colour via eco-friendly, non-toxic, and skin-friendly colour packs to take in the spirit of Holi. 6. Van Gogh Alive – The Experience
Following its successful run in over 100 cities, this immersive exhibition makes its grand return to the city. The Van Gogh Alive – The Experience honours the work of post-Impressionist master Vincent van Gogh through a multi-sensory experience. Admire his classic works such as Sunflowers, Starry Night, and Wheatfield With Crows up close. Over 3,000 paintings are also being presented through modern light and shadow technology. Further, the new AI Van Gogh makes its debut. It utilises AI technology to present impressionist-style portraits of the artist just for visitors.

7. The Jockey Club Series: Picasso for Asia—A Conversation
M+ museum presents a groundbreaking exhibition that brings together more than 60 works by Spanish master Pablo Picasso. Over 80 works by Asian and Asian-diasporic artists from the M+ collections will also be featured. It is the first major exhibition of Picasso in the city in more than a decade and will examine his enduring influence and connection with Asia. Major works by the artist on view include his best-known ones such as Portrait of a Man, Figures by the Sea, and The Bathers. It is loaned from the Musée national Picasso-Paris (MnPP), home to the largest repository of Picasso’s works.

8. 16th European Union Film Festival
Calling all cinephiles! The 16th European Union Film Festival (EUFF) makes a comeback in March to showcase 13 award-winning European films across various genres. The lineup is specifically chosen by Consulate-Generals of the participating countries that highlight their hometown’s artistic contributions. The opening film is the Polish anti-war production People which portrays the incredible spirit of five women who are navigating the realities of war. Other unmissable films include the German heist comedy Two to One, the heartwarming comedy Memory Lane, and the powerful Spanish feature I Am Nevenka.

9. ComplexCon Hong Kong
After a successful debut last year, ComplexCon Hong Kong is back for its sophomore edition in March. The global streetwear and pop culture festival features an upgraded lineup of global artists such as NJZ (formerly NewJeans), Metro Boomin, and ZICO. This year, contemporary visual artist Daniel Arsham steps into the role of Global Artist Director. 10. HKwalls
Street art festival HKwalls marks its 10th anniversary this year. International and local artists are once again filling the streets of Central and Western districts with stunning murals. There are also exhibitions, workshops, guided tours, panels, screenings, and more over the nine-day festival. New this year is the exhibition initiative, HKWALLS ROOM, which shines light on other galleries and artists alongside participating mural artists.

11. Art Central
Also marking its milestone 10th edition is Art Central. The four-day event spotlights diverse artworks and programmes from established artists and galleries to young galleries. Enoch Cheng returns as the curator for this year’s gallery programme including the signature Yi Tai Sculpture and Installation Projects sector. Expect to see a record number of exhibitors of over 100 galleries and 500 artists, the largest in the fair’s history so far.

12. Art Basel
Hong Kong’s leading art fair, Art Basel, is back in March. The upcoming edition features over 240 galleries from 42 countries and territories. Attendees can admire a diverse range of artistic mediums and practices across Asia Pacific throughout the three-day event. This year, there is also a roster of 18 new galleries from India, Australia, Kosovo, Guatemala, Nigeria, South Africa, and more to add fresh perspective to the fair.

13. Hong Kong Rugby Sevens
The 2025 edition of the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens is returning in March and make its highly anticipated debut at the new Kai Tak Stadium. Besides the rugby matches, headliners Kaiser Chiefs and Pete Tong will serenade the crowd with their music. Other artists include the local band RubberBand and Italian musician GALA.
