Those who pay for the streaming service in monthly payments can expect to pay £1 more each month, meaning a total monthly bill of £9.99 will allow them to watch their favourite shows.
However, paying for the service for a year will stay priced at £89.
Apple TV+ launched in November 2019 in the UK and the subscription fee is now double what it was back then, reports the BBC.
Apple TV+ increases monthly subscription costs
Apple explained to the broadcaster that new customers who sign up to the streaming service will be charged £9.99 per month after a free trial which lasts seven days, however, this isn’t the case for existing customers.
If you already have an Apple TV+ subscription and pay monthly, you can expect your fee to rise by £1 to £9.99 per month 30 days after your next renewal date.
A spokesperson for Apple told the BBC: “Since its launch, Apple TV+ has expanded its deep library of hundreds of Apple Originals, with thousands of hours of premium programming across genres and brand-new releases weekly – all ad-free.”
The subscription price hasn’t increased for Apple TV+ customers in almost two years.
Apple TV+ users across the world can expect price increases for their subscriptions.
Subscribers in the US can expect to see a bigger monthly price increase from $9.99 to $12.99.
