(Gray News) – Angel Reese is getting her wings.
The Chicago Sky All-Star forward announced that she will walk in the upcoming Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Oct. 15, making her the first professional athlete ever to take the runway.
“Stepping into a dream: From Angel to a Victoria Secret ANGEL,” Reese wrote in a post on Instagram. “I’m finally getting my wings. I’ll be walking the Victoria’s Secret 2025 runway show for the first time, and it feels like destiny. Wings on, heels ready…Catch me on the runway.”
Her announcement came with a short video featuring Reese in a pink robe and heels, sitting in a director’s chair with a pink backdrop before revealing her in angel wings.
The lingerie show, first launched in 2001, was once an annual television event featuring some of the world’s top models before being canceled in 2019 amid declining viewership and changing cultural trends. It returned in 2024, with Reese attending last year’s revival as a guest.
Reese’s runway debut adds to a whirlwind offseason for the 22-year-old.
She recently made a cameo in the Netflix political thriller “A House of Dynamite,” starring Idris Elba, and launched season two of her podcast, “Unapologetically Angel.”
On the court, Reese led the WNBA in rebounds per game (12.6) this season and earned her second All-Star selection.
