Discussing a recent story involving Betsy Swain (played by Sydney Martin), the daughter of Lisa Swain and her wife, Becky, is getting a visa to work in Spain with a waitressing job offer.
The character had been struggling with the recent reappearance of her mother after previously believing her to be dead.
Despite clashing several times, Becky appears determined to get her back on side by asking her to move to her beachside home in Alicante.

However, many Coronation Street fans have been left unimpressed by the storyline, pointing out some fatal flaws with their plan to move to Spain.
Taking to the Reddit page for the ITV show, the original poster wrote: “You cannot get a work visa with a waitressing job offer. It’s called Brexit. Xoxo, the Kingdom of Spain.”
Responding to this, another said: “There are minor plot holes and stupid plot devices, and then there are huge gargantuan storyline sink holes – this storyline!”
Another echoed this point, adding: “Ridiculous plot.”
However, others were quick to defend the storyline, with one person saying: “Its realistic in the sense that Betsy’s clueless about the real world and Becky’s feeding her false promises to manipulate her.”
