The Channel 4 show is now entering its 26th series, with previous episodes seeing everything from giant curved glass homes to mansions built out of clay and former water towers.
Now, more keen builders are ready to take on the task, not for the faint-hearted, as Kevin travels around the UK to see the new builds in Grand Designs.
The first episode of the new series saw artist Sarah with a radical super-sustainable home that combined living quarters with a studio and an art gallery.
Last week, couple Pete and Aey constructed a factory-built house in rural West Sussex.
This week, Marcus and Abi are hoping to build a “luxurious off-grid family home” in Pembrokeshire.
‘Luxurious’ budget home in Pembrokeshire in new Grand Designs
Couple Marcus and Abi have plans to build their dream family home in a 20-acre woodland, with a budget of £100,000.
Planning permission was approved under Wales’ One Planet Development planning laws, which require applicants to follow a sustainable lifestyle.
The pair have no detailed plans, seeing their project pushed to the limits of design and endurance.

The Channel 4 description for the new Grand Design episode adds that the build becomes a “physical adventure that defies convention and challenges many of the ideas around what a home should be.”
In the preview for the new Grand Designs episodes, the ambitious Marcus shares: “The dream opportunity to build our own house.”
Adding: “Yeah, money’s a worry, a tiny, tiny budget”.
