The confectionery firm appears to be planning well ahead for Easter 2026 with the arrival of its new Butterscotch Flavoured Mini Eggs.
Shoppers commenting on a post from the popular Johns_snackreviews Instagram account were quick to share their thoughts on the new Maltesers Mini Eggs item, with many dubbing the flavour “banging”.

Speaking about the new Maltesers flavour, one person said: “Not even mad about the timing of this as they sound banging.”
A second person added: “Expected before Jesus was even born!
“Ngl though, these have piqued my interest!”
This user joked: “Stop it, John, we have not had Halloween, Bonfire Night or Xmas yet lol.”
However, another pointed out: “Interesting that they’ve jumped straight to butterscotch Mini Eggs instead of just some kind of normal Maltesers Mini Eggs, sound nice on paper though.”
Maltesers already have a whole range of Easter goodies soon to be in stock, with the chocolate brand selling Milk Chocolate Mini Eggs, Mini Bunnies and its own Easter egg during the spring.

The new Butterscotch Flavoured Mini Eggs from Maltesers are expected to hit shelves in December 2025 or in early January 2026.
The item promises to be “full of crunchy, creamy delight” and will be wrapped snuggly in gold, polka dot paper in a similar way to Maltesers’ other Mini Egg items.
Maltesers have been approached for comment about the new Butterscotch Flavoured Mini Eggs reported to be hitting shelves in December or January.
