But now fans don’t have long to wait until the launch of the 34th series, said to be one of the team’s “biggest logistical and emotional challenges” so far.
The long-running heartwarming show is currently scheduled to return on Friday, October 3 from 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
The first of four episodes will see the DIY SOS team reunite in Leicester to help seven-year-old Isla, “a bright and determined little girl who dreams of living more independently in her own home”.
The BBC’s episode synopsis adds: “Born with a rare genetic condition, Isla requires a fully bespoke environment – from accessible furniture to specially designed living spaces.

“But creating a home that supports her now and into the future is no small feat.
“With limited space and a long list of bespoke adaptations, the team face one of their biggest logistical and emotional challenges yet.”
In November, there will also be a new one-off DIY SOS reveal as part of a BBC Children in Need special, in collaboration with Morning Live for the first time.

Nick recently surprised the founders of the BBC Children in Need-supported The Joshua Tree charity in Cheshire, with the news they’d be benefitting from the build.
Back in July, he appeared on Morning Live to announce the exciting news and encourage tradespeople and businesses to volunteer their time, services or materials to get it off the ground.
Nick and his expert team, including Chris, Billy, Radha, Ashley and designer Gabrielle Blackman, along with Morning Live presenters Gethin Jones and Helen Skelton, helped to make a difference to children and their families affected by cancer, as the build was completed in just 10 days this month.
