Ashley Kanes, 36, has made it to the final of the Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2025 competition.
He is one of 10 finalists who will compete in front of a panel of industry experts at Screwfix Live in September.
Mr Kanes, who runs Pulse Electrix Ltd, said: “I can’t believe I have secured a place in the final of Screwfix Top Tradesperson 2025.
“Since I started in the trade many years ago, I’ve worked hard to hone my craft, so to be recognised and able to share my story with the judges is something I’m really excited about.
“Looking at the names of the other finalists, it’s clear there’s some great competition, but I’m proud to be putting Bury on the map and representing every electrician out there in my bid to take home the title.”
The winner will receive a £20,000 prize bundle of tools, technology, and training.
Mr Kanes believes the title could help him grow his business and inspire young people to join the trade.
Jack Wallace, marketing director at Screwfix, said: “We now have our final ten, and as ever the standard is exceptional.
“Tradespeople are the backbone of their communities, providing essential services with unmatched skill and dedication.
“Screwfix Top Tradesperson shines a spotlight on the outstanding talent within the industry and the impact tradespeople have.
