Heritage Escapism
The horse girl and classic equestrian notions make their perennial appearances on the runways, of course, but the notion of heritage and escapism could not be shaken whether on the runways at Burberry, where jacquard-woven velvet damask got a bohemian revise, or at Gucci, where the horsebit and the brand’s archetypes were updated and infused with a twinge of sexiness. The key: in the classic notions of escape (the British countryside, for example) were blended with nonchalance.
