Knott’s Berry Farm and nostalgic experiences?

We’d say that this is a duo that is as tight and unbreakable as Knott’s Berry Farm and boysenberries. But let’s be real: Nothing in this world can best the boysenberry as the enduring and appetizing symbol of the beloved theme park.

Still, nostalgia and classic fun do give the boysenberry some competition when it comes to Knott’s Berry Farm.

And when Knott’s Scary Farm, the theme park’s annual autumn terror tradition, returns to the Buena Park destination, fright fans do love seeing some of the tried-and-terrifying mazes make a welcome and wicked return.

And yet?

The talented team behind the fall happening, which will cast a playful pall over Knott’s Berry Farm on select nights from Sept. 18 through Nov. 1, always throws something novel into the cauldron.

And those fresh ingredients always give Scary Farmers something new in the brew they crave each fall.

That creative cauldron will produce two new mazes in 2025, with “Mary — The Haunting of Worth Home” and “The Zoo” making their eerie introductions.

Those who dare call upon “Mary — The Haunting of Worth Home” will encounter a “legion of nightmarish creatures” accompanying the title character, a grievously wronged spirit in search of retribution.

And if you’re in the mood for a pack of “mutated monsters” — and if you’ve long been drawn to the creepy creativity of Knott’s Scary Farm, we will guess you definitely are — step inside “The Zoo,” where laboratory experiments gone very wrong are at the spooky center of the action.

A bevy of fan-favorite mazes will also make anticipated returns, though “revisitations” may be the more apt term.

“Widows,” with its spider-y passages and web-filled whimsy, and “Cinema Slasher,” which whisks guests into the popcorn-fueled fever dream of an ’80s multiplex, are two haunting hits of the past ready for re-enter people’s nightmares.

Check out the full and frightful list of mazes, entertainment offerings, and must-know tips before making your way to the most famous fear farm in all the land here.

We’re less than a month away from opening night, but that’s not a long time when you consider that Knott’s Scary Farm is monstrously marking 52 years this season, an eerie accolade that few fright spectaculars, in Southern California or anywhere, can claim.
