ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WITN) – The Joy of Fashion is a free outdoor community fashion show happening tomorrow.
Tomorrow from 3–7 PM on Howard Street (Showtime 5 PM) you’ll see how this event is more than just fashion, it’s a celebration of local creativity, community revitalization, and the inclusive spirit of the Howard Street Arts District, a key part of the Rock City Art District vision.
Organizers are bringing together:
- Fashion designers showcasing bold and unique collections
- Live DJ and entertainment
- Food vendors and small businesses
- Models of all ages and backgrounds
According to organizers, what makes this fashion show truly special is that it allows first-time models and senior citizens the opportunity to walk the runway. It’s an extension of the self-esteem and confidence-building work that Eki Famous’ Joy of Dance embodies, letting people know that we see them, that they matter, and that they are special.
Their goal is to create a space where art, fashion, music, and entrepreneurship meet, while shining a spotlight on the amazing talent and energy that exists right here in Rocky Mount.
