German national team director Rudi Völler can understand why Bayern Munich wants attacker Nick Woltemade, but also knows exactly why VfB Stuttgart wants to keep the 23-year-old.
”It’s a difficult decision. There will certainly be a price limit, for Stuttgart – and of course also for Bayern. There are always discussions about how much a player is worth. But it’s simple: He’s always worth as much as the buying club is willing to pay. I understand Nick, Bayern is an absolute top club. We, as German national team, can live with both solutions. If he stays in Stuttgart, he will deliver top performances there. The same applies if he were to move to Bayern. He has a great future ahead of him,” Völler told Sky Germany (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Stuttgart has put deadlines in place for a move, so it remains to be seen if those timelines spur Bayern Munich to get active.
