Tui UK & Ireland is the only travel company to make it into the prestigious Sunday Times Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers list for 2025.
It is the first time the travel company has appeared in the list, where it is ranked 69th out of 100 of the UK’s top apprenticeship employers.
The list is independently researched and compiled. It aims to celebrate employers which have demonstrated exceptional commitment to apprenticeships by creating new apprenticeship opportunities as well as the diversity of their apprentices and the number who successfully complete the apprenticeships.
Tui’s apprenticeship programmes span a wide range of roles across the entire business.
The company’s emerging talent and apprenticeship manager Marsha Myles said: “We are so proud our apprenticeship schemes have been recognised and Tui has been included in the Top 100 list for the first time.
“This is a great accolade and testament to the hard work of everyone involved, especially the Emerging Talent team and all our amazing apprentices.”
Tui is listed as having between 10,001 and 25,000 employees, including 235 new starters. The percentage of apprentices is 4%.
The annual rankings are researched and compiled by High Fliers Research, which independently assesses and ranks the country’s top apprenticeship employers on behalf of The Sunday Times.
The British Army ranks in the top position followed by the Royal Navy in second and London Ambulance Service in third.
The Top 100 list covers 20 different sectors and two thirds of those on the list have increased the number of apprentices in their ranks.
Martin Birchall, research director of The Sunday Times Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers, is quoted in The Times as saying: “Nationally the growth in apprenticeships is quite stagnant. These employers seem to be bucking the trend. They’re providing more opportunities, either for new recruits or for existing staff to develop their career.”
