Best Bet for EPL Winner

Ciaran Doyle gives his favorite bet on DraftKings Sportsbook for the 2025/26 Premier League winner future market.

The start of next season’s English Premier League is under a month away. The summer transfer window has been a hectic one, as some of the top contenders in England have splashed some serious cash. English clubs will have until September 1st to continue bolstering their squads until the window closes.

DraftKings Sportsbook has Liverpool (+210) as the favorites to retain their crown, with Arsenal (+225) and Manchester City (+275) close behind. DraftKings largely sees it as a three-horse race, as Chelsea have the fourth-best odds to win at (+800).

With all of that in mind, below is my favorite bet to win the title in the 2025/26 season.

Arsenal (+225)

Three consecutive runner-up finishes indacte that Arsenal will likely be up there again come the end of the season.

They have only strengthened an already elite squad over the summer, and if they can get the rumored signing of Viktor Gyökeres over the line, I think they will be the team to beat this season. Gyökeres would fill the biggest issue on the team, which is an out-and-out striker who is a finisher. The Swedish forward fits that mold to a tee and would be the perfect fit for that position. He has scored 68 league goals for Sporting Lisbon in their last two campaigns.

Arsenal’s leading goalscorer in the Premier League last season was Kai Havertz with only nine. That is an incredible stat, and shows how well the team can spread the goals around. It’s not sustainable, however, and if they want to get over the hump of winning the league, somebody is going to have to score at least 20 league goals.

The Gunners also strengthened in other areas of the pitch, most notably adding Martín Zubimendi to an already loaded midfield. As mentioned earlier, there is still time left in the transfer market to get business done. If Arsenal complete the deal for Gyökeres and add another forward player, such as Eberechi Eze or Xavi Simons, they will be hard to beat. We are looking at a defense that has conceded the least amount of goals in the last two seasons. They needed to strengthen further up the pitch to compete for the title, and with two more attacking signings, they will have done that.

When asked about the transfer window on Monday, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta had this to say:

“There’s still a long time in the window. We are seeking still, in terms of numbers we are short. We have to improve the depth and quality of the squad and we are constantly looking in the market. But until that happens, I can focus on the players that we actually have, work with them and I’m very pleased with what I’ve seen so far in the first 10, 15 days.”

Liverpool and Man City are certainly both capable of going on a run and being the team with the trophy at the end of the season, but Arsenal have been knocking on the door for a while and I think it will finally open in 2025/26 if they get their business done in the transfer window. I’m backing the Gunners to win the English Premier League for the first time since 2003/04.
