Explainer | How to score tickets for port call by Shandong aircraft carrier to Hong Kong

The Shandong aircraft carrier strike group will stop in Hong Kong from July 3 to 7 as part of the 28th anniversary of the city’s return to Chinese rule.

The visit marks the first time a PLA Navy aircraft carrier strike group has visited Hong Kong in eight years.

The public can board the homegrown aircraft carrier, the Zhanjiang missile destroyer and the Yuncheng missile frigate. The Yan’an missile destroyer will also take part in the port call.

1. How do I get a ticket?

Ten thousand tickets will be available, with 2,000 designated for the aircraft carrier and 8,000 for the Zhanjiang and Yuncheng vessels combined.
