The Voice UK announces Kelly Rowland as newest coach

Singer Kelly Rowland will take to one of the iconic red spinning chairs on the ITV singing competition.

She joins Sir Tom Jones and Will.I.Am plus Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones who return to coach together.

Rowland is known for being part of girl group Destiny’s Child and she’s judged talent shows including The X Factor and The Voice Australia.

Beyonce, Rowland and Michelle Williams rose to fame in the girl band, with hit songs Dangerously In Love, Survivor and Bootylicious, before disbanding in 2006.

They temporarily reunited during Beyonce’s Super Bowl half-time show in 2013, and for the singer’s headline performance at Coachella in April 2018.

The Voice UK fans ‘looking forward’ to seeing Kelly Rowland join ITV show

Announcing the news on Instagram, The Voice Uk’s official account shared a post with pictures of all five coaches, writing: “Kelly… can you handle this? 😏 Meet the Coaches newest recruit when The Voice UK returns ✌️”.

One fan commented: “OG 2-time winning coach ofThe Voice Australia! 😍”.

Another said: “Looking forward to this. Best program on tv 🌟❤️”.

A third commented: “Kelly was a fantastic coach on the voice Australia. She would really do incredibly well as a coach in the voice UK. Kindly bring back the battles and knockouts too 👏🔥🙌”.

Last year, Ava won The Voice UK with coaches Tom and Danny helping her reach the finals.

American singer LeAnn Rimes also coached in the latest series with the likes of Olly Murs and Anne Marie having done it before.
