HK Express Airways has introduced Hong Kong’s first direct flight to Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. The airline will operate three weekly flights to Changzhou Benniu International Airport (CZX).
This new route boosts travel options for both leisure and business travelers. It also reinforces HK Express’ commitment to expanding its network in the Chinese Mainland’s Yangtze River Delta region.
The inaugural flight from Changzhou to Hong Kong was fully booked, reflecting strong public interest.
New Route and Cathay Pacific Codeshare
Through a codeshare partnership with parent carrier Cathay Pacific, travelers from Changzhou and nearby cities can easily connect to Cathay Pacific’s global network via Hong Kong. This connection also allows international visitors to reach Changzhou for tourism, business, or cultural exploration.
The route fosters two-way connectivity, promoting international exchanges and strengthening economic ties between Hong Kong and the Yangtze River Delta.
Jeanette Mao, CEO of HK Express, shared her thoughts about the new route. “Changzhou marks a significant expansion in our Chinese Mainland network this year.”
“As our fourth destination after Beijing (Daxing), Ningbo, and Sanya, this route will attract global visitors to the Yangtze River Delta. It also offers Jiangsu residents seamless access to international destinations through Hong Kong,” she said.
Mao emphasized HK Express’ dedication to affordable fares and flexible travel options. “We aim to stimulate tourism, enhance travel experiences, and solidify Hong Kong’s position as a global aviation hub,” she added.
