Burien Arts’ highly anticipated Vision 20/20 Gala returns this summer with a bold twist, reimagined as “ARTvant-Garde!” on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the SeaTac Community Center.
Organizers are inviting artists, fashion designers, and art lovers for an evening of creativity, community, and celebration.
Now in its sixth year, the annual benefit gala has drawn crowds ranging from 100 to 400 attendees since it launched in 2019. This year’s theme encourages attendees to don “artist gala costumes, fancy pantaloons, or cocktail attire” and enjoy a visual and cultural spectacle unlike any other.
“It’s a gala, so pull out your artist gala costume, fancy pantaloons, or cocktail attire,” organizers said in the official event announcement. “We look forward to a wonderful event and your participation as an artist or an attendee!”
Among the most notable updates for 2025:
- Artists will handle their own sales, with no commission taken by Burien Arts.
- A new fashion runway will circle the ballroom, showcasing wearable art by local designers.
- Participating artists will rent a 2’x6’ wire panel to display any size or medium of original artwork, with many successful pieces priced under $200.
Artists and designers must submit by June 1, with participation fees ranging from $25 to $100. Designers may show up to two original looks during the runway walk.
Artists can register or get more information by emailing burienarts@gmail.com or gracestiller@gmail.com, or calling Grace Stiller at (206) 795-5783.
The SeaTac Community Center provides a spacious ballroom and ample free parking, making it an accessible venue for the community-wide celebration of art and expression.
