“‘We need tariffs on China’ Gordon Chang,” Trump wrote.
In the wake of Trump’s posts, Chang has been on a posting spree on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, where he has been calling for more aggressive tariffs on China. Notably, a day after Trump’s 34% tariff announcement on China, China hit back slapping 34% reciprocal tariffs on US exports. Chang, in his X posts, has been arguing for more tariffs.
“If not tariffs, then what? What will we do to protect ourselves from China?,” Chang wrote in a recent post on X.
“China hits us with fentanyl, China hits us with cyberattacks, China hits us with trade,” he said in another. “All are designed to destroy America.”
