  • TIME Magazine has released its annual list of the World’s Greatest Places.
  • The list is divided into two categories: places to stay and places to visit.
  • The list highlights destinations around the globe, from Morocco to Greenland.

If you need travel inspiration, TIME has you covered. The publication revealed its 2025 World’s Greatest Places list on Thursday.

The list features a range of hotels, cruises, museums, parks and more across two categories: places to stay and places to visit. TIME’s editorial team evaluates entries based on factors including relevance, innovation, impact and success, according to its website.

“The tourism industry rebounded to pre-pandemic levels in 2023, and surged ahead in 2024, setting consumer-spending records and accounting for an estimated 9% to 10% of global GDP, and this year, it looks to pull in even more money,” TIME editors said in a statement. “For our annual list of the World’s Greatest Places, TIME sought out one-of-a-kind spots and experiences around the globe.”

Here are some of the highlights from each category (entries on the list are not ranked in any particular order).
