FLINT, MI – Designers brought their talents to Blackstone’s Smokehouse for the 810 Fall Fashion Show in downtown Flint as attendees enjoyed a night of cocktails, food and beautiful garments.

The Sunday, Oct. 26 event was organized by Adriana Lanise, founder and CEO of 810 Fashions, who has hoped to host a show at the Blackstone since her first show.

Now in their 15th show, Lanise was excited to fulfill that goal.

“I love the food, I love the drinks, I just love the ambiance of the place, the spirit of the place, the look of the place,” she said. “I just feel like it was a perfect fit for a really intimate and fun show.”

The cozy feel of the restaurant proved to be perfect for the event, with the warmly lit room offering an elegant and inviting environment for attendees to enjoy.

The designs were just as impressive, with 18-year-old Na’ziya Lewis bringing the collection she showed for Paris Fashion Week to her hometown.

“I’m excited to be showcasing these pieces and also walking for other designers. I love the 810 fashion shows,” she said.

Attendees applauded as each designer showed off their work, with many models showing for multiple collections.

Rianna Alexander, a model in the show, talked about her favorite parts of modeling as she waited backstage for the show to begin.

“I’m a girl who loves to look cute and pretty. I love the glam of it all and knowing that the spotlight is going to be on me. Once you’re on that runway, it’s your time,” she said. “I’m learning to take my time because when I’m out there, I’m the star of the show. Just being in this environment, feeling like ‘I’m back,’ and wondering what’s next is what I love.”

While 810 Fashions does not yet have a website, Lanise explained she’s working on creating one for next year’s shows.

Until then, future shows can be found on the 810 Models Facebook page.
