Packed with basic white T-shirts and plain black trousers, my capsule wardrobe illustrates the epitome of minimalist fashion. But with sun-filled days on the horizon, I’m on a mission to brighten up my rotation of warm-weather outfits with a variety of playful yet polished color combinations.
While studying the street style set for inspiration, I noticed a city dweller wearing a pear green maxi dress paired with a variety of silver accessories. Another person combined an indigo blue top and matching Bermuda shorts with a designer handbag in a vibrant shade of cherry red. (If I had to guess, I’d say this saturated outfit was inspired by Prada’s Spring 2025 runway, where the exact same color combo was splattered across a handful of delectable shirt sandwiches.) Of course, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that I also spotted several summer color trends, including cheerful tints of butter yellow and powder pink.
What I love most about the color schemes I discovered is that they’re actually approachable. While some of the pairings may be a bit unconventional, they’re surprisingly harmonious.
