There was a refreshing ease — personalities coming through, silhouettes being pushed — from the gents at the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards.

Icon Behaviour Only
A$AP Rocky, this year’s Style Icon Award recipient, reminded everyone that his impact comes from ease, not effort. He wore Chanel like it was his everyday wardrobe — relaxed trousers, a loose jacket, a soft yellow knit — nothing forced, nothing chasing a moment. Finished with the Chanel belt, the labels classic two-tone cap-toe shoes and Briony Raymond jewels, this was Rocky dressing like Rocky — which is exactly why he’s the icon here.

Clean And Simple
Benito Skinner went for a quietly confident tailoring moment. The fit was sharp. No theatrics, no unnecessary extras — just good lines, clean finishes, and the awareness that simplicity can carry plenty of attitude when worn by someone who understands their frame.

Navy Leather Win
Keith Powers ‘ Simkhai navy leather bomber and matching trousers were a standout. Equal parts cool, wearable, and confident — like the kind of look that men should wear more often.

Hugh Hefner-Coded
Mark Ronson wearing Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann felt like a nod to old-Hollywood lounge decadence. Some might feel that the robe gave an “I just woke up” vibe or nodded to Hugh Hefner — and even with the Tom Ford loafers and sunglasses, I would agree with you.

Formal With a Twist
Sombr wore Thom Browne in a way that retained the designer’s tailored, sculptural edge but didn’t feel overly constructed. However, I’m struggling to get on board with the shrunken, cropped jacket, shirt, and waistcoat. While the “something slightly off-centre” aesthetic is his brand of fashion — and he does wear it well — this isn’t a trend I’d like to see take off.

Almost There
The silhouette of Stefon Diggs’ Willy Chavarria suit was excellent and perfect for his athletic build. I’m not sold on the black blazer and navy trouser combo, but the confidence and attitude carried it further.
