Kathmandu. Zurich Insurance (Hong Kong) and Hong Kong Airlines have introduced a new integrated travel insurance plan designed to simplify the booking and insurance coverage process for passengers.
The Zurich HKA travel insurance plan is now available as an add-on when booking flights through the airline’s website or mobile app. The new scheme aims to provide customers with the convenience of securing travel insurance during their flight without switching to a separate provider or platform.
Under this plan, there will be three levels – Protect Plan, Light Plan and GoFly Plan insurance coverage. This includes coverage for medical expenses (up to $750,000), travel cancellations or interruptions (up to $20,000) and personal belongings (up to $10,000).
Members of the airline’s Fortune Wings club can receive up to an additional $100,000 in personal accident coverage, depending on the level selected.
Zurich Insurance (Hong Kong) said, “The integrated approach aims to simplify customer travel and increase access to travel security.” ’
According to the company, the process of purchasing insurance through the platform can be completed in less than 5 minutes.
Hong Kong Airlines said the initiative would support a broader plan to expand its international presence and provide additional options for passenger safety. – Agency
