Multiple users are reporting significant issues with a whole host of different websites and apps in a major internet outage.
The internet issues started in the early morning of October 20 and many people have complained that their most reliable apps and websites are failing to work.
Down detector, which tracks user complaints for web service has shown a sudden and widespread outage.
This has included Amazon Web Services, Amazon, Canva, Duolingo, Snapchat, Ring and many more.
Other sites and applications which appear to be having problems on Downdetector include: Roblox, Clash Royale, Life360, My Fitness Pal, Xero, Amazon Music, Prime Video, Clash of Clans, Fortnite, Wordle, Coinbase, HMRC, Vodafone, PlayStation and Pokémon Go.
While these apps and companies are not often associated with one another, the internet issues seem to be how they all tie to Amazon Web services.

The company offers infrastructure to these services and companies and ensures much of the modern internet runs properly.
The issues began around 8am in the UK, or midnight pacific time as the company saw ‘increased error rates’ and delays with ‘multiple AWS services’, according to its service status page.
According to the company, the issues are affecting Amazon DynamoDB and Amazon Elastic Computer Cloud, both of which allow companies to rent storage and computers to run their services.
It is now the most popular provider of such cloud services in the world. It made $108 billion last year, and it now accounts for the majority of Amazon’s profits.
Companies have already started issuing individual statements to inform users of the ongoing issue.

Fortnite took to Twitter to confirm they were having problems right now.
In a post, they wrote: “An outage affecting several services on the internet is also impacting Fortnite log-ins. We’re investigating this now, and will update you when we have more details.”
Due to the internet becoming an integral part of technology used every day, the outage has left some people panicked on social media.
Writing on Twitter one user: “Holy s*** the whole f****** internet is down.”
Another said: “Wow Amazon Web Services went down and took half the internet with it.”
A third wrote: “Of all the things I could’ve expected today I was NOT expecting the whole internet to go down.”
While another confirmed to those concerned: “Yes it’s not just you. Large parts of the internet are down.”
