Earth’s shadow will dazzle the moon with a red glow in parts of the US and Britain early on Friday.

When the moon falls within the darkest part of the Earth’s shadow, it will turn a “blood red” hue. “It’s as if all the world’s sunrises and sunsets are projected onto the moon,” Nasa said.
