Earth’s shadow will dazzle the moon with a red glow in parts of the US and Britain early on Friday.
When the moon falls within the darkest part of the Earth’s shadow, it will turn a “blood red” hue. “It’s as if all the world’s sunrises and sunsets are projected onto the moon,” Nasa said.
It’s the first total lunar eclipse in more than two years, and a phenomenon scientists predict will not happen again until 2048.
