Silicon valley-based Operant AI, which offers real-time cybersecurity solutions for AI applications, is launching its products in India and plans to expand its team of professionals in the country.
“We are starting with a few key hires and plan to expand on the go-to-market function for supporting our customers and also expand the engineering team,” Operant’s CEO and co-founder Vrajesh Bhavsar told FE.
Operant offers real-time security that blocks attacks on cloud environments, including the entire environment in which AI applications function. Bhavsar adds that the platform is also able to prevent attacks like data exfiltration, which is a common problem in the world of AI.
Operant’s solutions are largely aimed at fintech companies. “One of the key capabilities that we’re able to do is redact private data while running the data that they need, through whatever model they want,” he added.
Founded in 2021 in San Francisco, Operant AI has raised $13.5 million from investors such as venture capital firm Felicis and Washington DC-based Sinewave. The India expansion marks a homecoming for its co-founders, Vrajesh Bhavsar and Priyanka Tembey (CTO), who began their engineering journeys in Gujarat and Pune, respectively, before leading AI security initiatives at Apple, ARM and VMWare.
