Thiruverkadu Police has arrested two suspects who allegedly stole mobile phones from workers at two places. The police recovered 25 mobile phones and three laptops from them.
On March 2, 30 workers of a wedding hall were sleeping in a rented house in Ayanambakkam. They had kept the main door open. The next day, they found 15 mobile phones and five purses were missing. . Similarly, on March 20, another complaint was lodged stating that over 40 persons, who were working at an AC service centre, were sleeping with the door open on the second floor of a building in Laxmi Nagar, Thiruverkadu.
Thiruverkadu Police took up two complaints for investigation and arrested two suspects who have been identified as A. Janardhanan, 27, of Cuddalore district and V. Ramachandran, 36, of Tiruchi district.
