Trendsetters Fashion Show raises funds for teen cancer survivor

GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) – On Sunday, Gabrielle’s Trendsetters returned with its annual charity benefit and a full house of spectators helped ring in the Trendsetters Fashion Show.

The group run by 29 high school juniors and seniors from across South Mississippi raised money for cancer survivor Katherine Adams.

Each year’s show benefits different organizations and people. This year is special, as the Trendsetters are recognizing one of their own and raising money for her medical bills.

“She’s a lot of our close friends and she’s been through so much in the last nine months that none of us can even imagine so we really want to be here for her,” Lillieann Bentz, Gabrielle’s Trendsetter said.

“It’s all ran by us. All the girls come up with all the different ideas. We come up with all the different baskets. We go out in our community and get donations for our raffle baskets which go to the charity of the year, and it’s just amazing,” Addison Mosley, Gabrielle’s Trendsetter said.

The baskets Mosley mentioned are worth hundreds of dollars and are all part of a raffle.

Tickets can be purchased for $5 at Gabrielle’s in Biloxi.
