Tickets go on sale for Muskegon Women's 'Fashion & Frolic' fundraiser | Newsradio WOOD 1300 and 106.9 FM

MUSKEGON, Mich. — The Muskegon Women’s Division Chamber of Commerce will hold a fundraiser May 1st called “Fashion & Frolic.”

It is throwing it back to the Roaring Twenties with the theme of “Great Gatsby Glamour”. It will run from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Event Center of Fricano Place.

Tickets are on sale. They are priced at 65-dollars per person. That pays for a buffet dinner, cash bar, silent auction, raffles, a runway show and a vendor marketplace of local businesses. 

Fashion & Frolic has raised more than $563,000 for those in need in West Michigan over the past 19 years.

Fashion & Frolic is one of WDCC’s largest annual fundraisers that builds financial support for its General Fund. The fundraiser provides the source of funds that can be granted back into the community during the next twelve months. Funds raised support annual scholarships, local arts and community festivals, eldercare, health and human services, education and literacy programs, community beautification projects, and much more…

For the fiscal year 2024-2025, $54,000 has been distributed from the WDCC General Fund to date. Annual recipients include: WDCC awards six $1,000 scholarships to high school students attending Muskegon Community College or Baker College of Muskegon as a full-time student; the West Michigan Symphony’s Link-Up Concerts for grade school age students, and the Community Foundation for Muskegon County to support beautification projects in the community, primarily the Muskegon City Public Art Initiative.

In the past nineteen years, Fashion & Frolic has raised $563,269, of which ALL has been distributed back into the community. Recent recipients to name a few include Access Health; Big Brothers / Big Sisters of the Muskegon Lakeshore; Child Abuse Council; Community Access Line of the Lakeshore; Girls on the Run West Michigan; Kids Belong; Lakeshore Art Festival; Mediation & Restorative Services; Muskegon Rescue Mission; Pioneer Resources; Renew Mobility; West Michigan Student Showcase.

Event tickets are $65 and can be purchased online on our website at www.womensdivison.org. This grand evening will include a catered dinner, a cash bar, mobile and online silent auction, bidding, vendor marketplace and a runway style fashion show.
