Three roast dinners in Norfolk named among best in UK

The lifestyle magazine Muddy Stilettos recently released a ranking of the best restaurants for a roast across the country.

The Brisley Bell, The Langham Blue Bell and The Grain Store at The Maltings in Weybourne were all included.

The Brisley Bell was hailed for its atmosphere with its “cosy corners and open fires” being a real highlight for the writer.

The article said: “With a clutch of gongs to its name, it’s no surprise the kitchen crew turns out stand-out roasts.

“Nab a table in the jaw-droppingly beautiful library room to tuck into beef sirloin or pork loin with all the trimmings (three courses for £39).”

The Langham Blue Bell was next up.

The Blue Bell has established quite a name for itself on the roast dinner front,” Muddy Stilettos said.

“And with the likes of slow-roasted Norfolk pork shoulder, Orchard pig gravy, glazed carrot, braised red cabbage, truffle cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire puddings, duck-fat roast potatoes and celeriac puree on the menu, it’s not hard to see why.”

The menu changes weekly and features something for everyone.

Last but not least, The Grain Store was praised for its roast dinner with “a delectable twist”.

“Plates at The Grain Store are normally smaller and made for sharing – but come Sunday, it’s all about the roast,” the article said.

“Of course, this award-winning restaurant gives the classic a delectable twist – roasted Iberico, anyone?

“But don’t worry, it still comes with all your favourite trimmings.

“We’ll be kicking things off with a Bloody Mary and finishing with the apple and blackberry crumble.”
