OWASSO, Okla. — Threads of Hope is hosting their first ever fashion show in support of Threefold Widows Ministry in Kenya on March 29 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The ministry was started by women from Freedom Church in Owasso following a mission trip. They started the ministry to help widows become new providers for their families.
They have a monthly Bible study on Zoom at a church in Nairobi.
The women are given bread baskets for their families as well as other support.
The Edge Program through the ministry also helps with business training to educate the widows on the kinds of jobs and businesses that will be successful in certain areas.
Seven Owasso retailers will be providing clothes to be modeled in the fashion show.
FOX23 Evening Anchor Shae Rozzi will be modeling in and emceeing the event.
Tickets are $25 each or you can buy a table for eight for $150.
