The fashion show supports families of hospitalized children with food assistance statewide.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Connecticut is the lead sponsor of the inaugural Strength in Numbers Fashion Show taking place June 7 at District NHV in New Haven.
The event supports the Feeding Families Foundation, a nonprofit that delivers meals to parents and caregivers of hospitalized children, a spokesperson for the event said Wednesday.
The evening will feature a 200-foot runway show with exclusive designs by international fashion designer Justin Haynes (JUS10H), curated by New Haven artist and New Haven Pizza Club founder Michael Pollack.
“Pizza is a unifier,” Pollack said. “And when it’s paired with purpose like this, we create more than a meal—we create momentum.”
The night will include live entertainment, food, cocktails and a VIP networking afterparty, the spokesperson said.
“This event embodies what Connecticut does best—lead with creativity, compassion, and community,” said Anthony Anthony, chief marketing officer for the State of Connecticut.
Proceeds will benefit meal programs already active across Connecticut, including weekly pizza deliveries from Modern Apizza to families at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital.
