St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center, a nonprofit that serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will host its 47th Annual Haute with Heart Fashion Show on Saturday, Aug. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront, 1 Park Blvd., San Diego.
This year’s theme, London Calling, celebrates the bold elegance of British fashion, where classic tailoring meets edgy street style. The runway will reflect the city’s timeless influence on the fashion world, blending sophistication with creativity.
The lively event kicks off with live music, boutique shopping, a silent auction, and free-flowing champagne. Guests will then enjoy surprise performances, a gourmet luncheon, a live auction, and the centerpiece fashion show. SMSC students will once again take the spotlight, showcasing their style, confidence, and individuality on the runway.
All proceeds support SMSC’s award-winning programs, which help more than 350 students—ranging from recent graduates to seniors in their 80s—gain skills, independence, and self-confidence through education, employment training, and creative opportunities.
This year’s honorees include Bev Ireland, with Ginger Poutous serving as Honorary Chair. Robbin “Kulek” Lockie and John Lockie are the Host Chairs. Presenting sponsors include The Guild Hotel and The Mansour Group.
Supporters can double their impact through a matching gift opportunity. Thanks to June Rubin and Chris & Karen Ward, all donations made through August 2 will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $65,000.
Tickets are available now, starting at $225 for standard admission and $325 for VIP. All tickets include complimentary champagne, a full-course lunch, and parking. VIP guests will receive prime runway seating, valet parking, and wine service during lunch.
