The data comes from BCD Travel, which released its Cities & Trends 2025 Asia Pacific report – analysing business travel patterns based on 2024 flight and rail data across APAC markets.
Top APAC destinations for business travellers:
Singapore saw a 20% increase in visits year-on-year, while Tokyo rose 38% to take second place. Sydney entered the top 10 for the first time.

BCD’s report notes the growing popularity of high-speed rail, driven by convenience and sustainability, particularly in China and Japan. Most APAC business flights remain economy class, while intercontinental travel is split evenly between economy and business class.
