Singapore Airlines passengers from Hong Kong can complete check-in procedures and drop off any checked luggage, at Hong Kong MTR station in a convenient one-stop. Yes, passengers can now enjoy the convenience of dropping luggage off at Hong Kong station and shopping or sightseeing for the rest of the day.
With this update, Singapore Airlines joins Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong Airlines, and Qantas in allowing passengers to check in for flights from Hong Kong station. MTR Corporation announced the airlines will offer In-town Check-in Service at Hong Kong Station from 24 February.
Singapore Airlines: How to use the check-in and baggage drop service at MTR stations?
Passengers with an Octopus card or Airport Express ticket can access the check-in area and directly proceed to the self-service kiosks and bag-drop stations. However, fliers with only e-passports or Mainland Travel Permits can use the check-in counters at the MTR station. After check-in, passengers can board the Airport Express. For more details on luggage capacity, refer to the terms and conditions on the Singapore Airlines website.
The check-in and baggage drop service will be available for flights scheduled to depart between 24 hours and 90 minutes before takeoff. Also, remember that passengers can use the service daily from 9 am to 5.20 pm.
The service is not available at Kowloon station
The exclusive In-town Check-in Service is provided by MTR for Airport Express, which zips between the city and the airport in less than 25 minutes. Please note that Singapore Airlines is not offering the service at Kowloon station yet! Meanwhile, Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong Airlines, and Qantas passengers can use the service available at Hong Kong, Kowloon, and Tsing Yi stations of the Airport Express.
