OKLAHOMA CITY (KSWO) – Senator James Lankford and other U.S. senators are working on passing a bill to prevent inmates from using cell phones in prisons.
If signed into law, the “Cell Phone Jamming Reform Act” of 2025 will allow state and federal prisons to use cell phone jamming technology.
“Cell phones are being slipped into jails and prisons, but federal policy prevents local law enforcement from jamming the cell signal. That needs to stop,” Lankford said.
