RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – As the temperature rises, so does anticipation for Richmond’s runway, as Fashion Week returns for its 17th year.
Starting Monday, April 21 – Sunday April, 27 a lineup of emerging and established designers will showcase their newest collections of clothing jewely, shoes and accessories. The week is packed with an exciting mix of fashion, art, culture and curated experiences offering something for all fashion enthusiast.
“This is one of our most energized and strongest seasons yet,” said Jimmy Budd, co-founder and executive producer of RVA Fashion Week. “After months of restructuring and team building, we’re entering spring 2025 with renewed purpose and a bigger platform for designers, creatives, and partnerships in the Richmond community. We continue to push the envelope by combining classic runway shows with cultural moments, bringing in both rising talent and established names.”
Attendees can look forward to several planned events, including a new partnership campaign, Race to the Runway, with NASCAR at Richmond Raceway.
“This season is all about celebrating fashion and style in Richmond—both on and off the runway,” said Erica Shambley, strategic marketing and partnerships manager. “We’ve partnered with amazing organizations this year to create more events that are accessible to the greater community. From partnerships with Richmond Region Tourism and Radio One to NASCAR, we’re connecting with audiences in new ways.”
Other highlights of the season include the return of “Flowixm,” RVA Fashion Week’s innovative art meets fashion show, along with the high-octane “Unscripted” runway experience that showcases some of the region’s most renowned designers, presenting both avant-garde and luxury creations. Lastly, the season will conclude with “Off Grid,” an exciting streetwear showcase organized in partnership with Swap Meet RVA.
Spring 2025 RVA Fashion Week Full Lineup:
Monday, April 21 – Opening Reception: This elegant opening event brings together media, designers, and fashion insiders to mark the week’s beginning. This networking mixer will showcase the season’s designers and recognize the sponsors and partners that support RVAFW.
Tuesday, April 22 – ‘Unveiled’ (Deco at CNB, 7 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.) A runway showcase spotlighting emerging designers who are reshaping the future of fashion. Guests can anticipate striking & unique collections from talents such as Omari Jade, Yani Boutique, Model Maven, and Cuerazo Leathers.
Wednesday, April 23 – Wellness Wednesday (Various locations, 6 a.m.- 8 p.m.) A day focused on wellness, self-care, and balance will include fitness sessions, wellness workshops, and a community event at The Workshop by T&D Event and Community Space. The event will feature a panel discussion emphasizing the significance of prioritizing health in the creative and entrepreneurial sectors.
Thursday, April 24 – RVAFW Community Pop-Up (Greater Richmond Convention Center Visitor Center, 5 p.m.) A community pop-up event featuring giveaways, vendors, style experiences, and information about future shows. In collaboration with Richmond Region Tourism and Radio One.
Friday, April 25 – ‘Flowixm: Where Art Meets Fashion in Motion’ (Deco at CNB, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.) A blend of art and fashion, this show turns garments into dynamic masterpieces. Anticipate avant-garde designs that emphasize structure, movement, and expressive storytelling.
Saturday, April 26 – ‘UNSCRIPTED: A Defiant Expression of Avant-Garde Fashion’ (Deco at CNB, doors open at 4:30 p.m., show 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.) UNSCRIPTED, the season’s boldest event, features cutting-edge fashion that challenges norms. Anticipate sculptural shapes, surprising textures, and audacious creations from trailblazing designers like N5 Couture, Leve, Suit Brother, Suigens, MADKAT, Fort Mose 1738, and Chelita Lenice.
Sunday, April 27 – ‘OFF GRID: The Streetwear Revolution’ (Deco at CNB, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.) Streetwear shines in this vibrant showcase that honors urban fashion, sneaker culture, and underground influences. With striking silhouettes and eye-catching graphics, OFF GRID unites designers shaping the essence of street style. In collaboration with Swap Meet RVA, the lineup features Pro Legacy, Dread Generation, NUBATI INDUSTRIES (“New Body”), Quila Familìa Empire, Karte Blanche & Big Twin Studios, Three Scoops, and Kamala Bhagat.
