Panhandle Garden Clubs Hold Derby-Themed Fashon Event

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Garden clubs from across the panhandle gathered together Saturday for an afternoon of Derby-themed fashion and fun, they called “Run for the Roses.”

The event hosted a fashion show, emceed by News Channel 7′s Alison Baker, and aimed to raise money for local garden clubs so they can continue to educate on the importance of gardening.

Aside from the fashion show, the event hosted an auction and had vendors!

Those with the garden club say they enjoyed seeing everyone come together.

“Seeing all the women with the different clubs come together, contributing their talents, and their gifts to make this happen,” said Lynn Haven Garden club President, Michele Perri. ” It wouldn’t have happened without all of them.”

All proceeds from the event went to support the local garden clubs.
