Here’s some good news for football fans! Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo is poised to visit Hong Kong in 2025. His appearance will be for a museum commemorating his illustrious career. The CR7 Life Museum is set to open in July 2025 at the K11 Musea shopping centre in Tsim Sha Tsui, with ticket sales kickstarting on February 5 (which is also Ronaldo’s birthday).
According to the South China Morning Post (SCMP), the museum is expected to open in July 2025, providing visitors with an informative display of Cristiano Ronaldo’s life and career through different exhibits and activities.
Ticket sales for Cristiano Ronaldo’s museum to start on February 5
Organisers revealed that the early bird and VIP tickets will be up for grabs on February 5, while general admission tickets will go on sale on February 24 at 11 am. Interested ones can head to Klook, Ctrip, as well as K11’s official website to get the passes. For general admission tickets, the prices are HKD 180 for adults and HKD 150 for children and seniors. You can also avail a 10% early bird discount.
Promoters Star Shine Holdings and Asia Partners IFBD Corporation “anticipate” Ronaldo’s presence at the opening of the pop-up museum highlighting his career. The organisers also expect that 12 million people will visit the museum during its run.
A spokesman told SCMP that Hong Kong football fans can expect to see an extensive collection of trophies from the sporting legend. There will also be an opportunity to purchase official merchandise, including autographed items. In addition, exclusive CR7 merchandise will be available on display.
More sporting events in the city
Back in February, Lionel Messi visited Hong Kong with Inter Miami for a friendly match with the Hong Kong football team. However, Messi didn’t take to the pitch in the end with organisers having to issue refunds following outrage from fans.
Despite this, more sporting events are planned in Hong Kong. Pui Kwan-kay, the chairman of the Hong Kong Football Association briefly mentioned that there are plans to have Ronaldo’s current club, Al-Nassar play in Hong Kong. He hopes the match will be one of the celebratory events for the opening of the new Kai Tak Sports Park.
Furthermore, the annual Rugby Sevens will also return to Hong Kong in April 2025 at the new Kai Tak Sports Park. Now, Cristiano Ronaldo’s visit to Hong Kong may be the next big sporting event to look forward to.
