I grew up in a pre-mobile phone era, when picking up your messages meant going to the shop and Bluetooth was what you got after eating a Mr Freeze.
We are now in a world where the mobile phone is a dominant presence in all of our lives, allowing us to learn and communicate at a speed that was once unthinkable. But parents across the country tell me they are concerned about the impact that mobile phones and smartphones are having on our young people today.
